About the Artist

janese hexon, an established, award-winning sculptor, works primarily from her Western Pennsylvania studio in Pittsburgh. Having her work exhibited nationally and her acceptance into a New York gallery and the National Association of Woman Artists validates the continuing maturity of her work and career. This exposure not only gives her opportunities to exhibit with world-class artists, but also allows her to meet and relate to many different people from around the world.

As an educator at a local college and having served on the Associated Artists of Pittsburgh Board of Directors, she promotes the diversity and challenges of the constantly changing world of art. Giving her knowledge of art to young people with varying career paths and watching them develop gives her much personal satisfaction that complements her joy in creating works of art.

Her many trips to Europe and Africa informed her vision of technique and subject matter. These travels enhanced her ability to successfully communicate her views and thoughts to her audience. janese’s patrons have collected her work, demonstrating her evolution and growth.
